Conference information
Program
The final program is online! Please check the program online now! We will welcome you on Monday 23 November at 08.00 a.m. at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC). You will find our registration desk on the fifth floor of the MCEC’s Clarendon area. In the conference bag you will find the program, an overview of all abstract presentations, a list of participants and a pen with inbuilt USB with the abstract book. Please make sure not to put any personal belongings in the conference bags, since they are all identical and not personalized.
Dress code
The dress code for the conference is smart casual.
Breaks
The registration fee will include coffee & tea, as well as lunch on both conference days.
All breaks will take place in the Clarendon ‘Glass Room’ on the 5th floor, where the conference partners will also be representing their organisations.
SPLiSS book
If you join both conference days, you will automatically receive the special SPLiSS 2.0 publication (worth $45 AUD).

Networking drinks and conference dinner
The networking drinks and conference dinner on Monday night will take place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), home to the Melbourne Cricket Club and the largest stadium in Australia.
Multiple taxi ranks are located just outside the MCEC entrance, across Clarendon Street. You can also take a stroll to nearby Flinders St and then catch a free city circle tram to Spring Street, which is just a few minutes walking distance from the MCG.
The networking drinks will start at 6.30 p.m., followed by the conference dinner at around 8:00 p.m.
The dress code for the conference dinner is smart casual.
Travel information
Melbourne: Please click here for more information about the city of Melbourne. You will find all sorts of interesting places, things to do etc. A city map will be available at the conference.
Airport Express: SkyBus Shuttle Service (https://www.skybus.com.au/) operates between Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine) and the City Centre (Southern Cross Station), 24/7 with daily departures scheduled every 10 minutes. A one way ticket will cost you $18 AUD and there is free Wi-Fi available on the buses. Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) is only 1km away from the Southern Cross Station.
Taxi: A taxi between Melbourne Airport and the Melbourne City Centre (i.e. Hotels & Conference Venue) costs around $50 AUD. Melbourne’s major taxi companies include Silver Top Taxis (Ph. +61 (0)3 8413 8111) and CABiT (Ph. +61 (0)3 9111 0008).
